Facts

Let's face it, my world evolves around Mino. Every second in my life at this moment is Minori. She evades my privacy and personal space. Infact she is like a limb that cannot be remove. It's not that I mind, it's just I need some time for myself too.

Don't get me wrong I love her. I love when she scream and pout, wanting me to pick her up and cuddle her in my arms. I love her when she babbles repeatedly, "tata ta ta tatata." I love that she is my Minori. Ahhh yes a mini me, a mini Shingo.

I might not be rich, famous, or somebody big. I might not be out there saving humanity, or the world. So thank you to those who are out there making this world a better place. I know that my place is here with my Minori, because I'm somebody big to her.

Poopy Diaper

Kids are so amazing! This evening I went to a baby shower. We were playing a game called 'poopy diaper', it's like 'hot potato' instead we just pass a poopy diaper around. Of course, it's a fake poopy diaper. I can't imagine if we used a real one. Stinky! Anyways, it was the highlight of the evening. The kids had so much fun.

It's was amuzing to watch them get all hyped up from passing a diaper around. One was doing little jumps on the couch and the other one was sitting down on an adult lap. Their eyes were just filled with sparkles as their arms extended reaching out to catch that poopy diaper with their chubby little fingers. Smiles and giggles were constantly exchange between the toddlers. That was a moment of happiness for everyone.

Taxi

Today I'd attend the "Nobody's Perfect" Workshop at Queen Elizabeth School. I had a taxi come to pick me up. As I got in and buckled Mino up I start reading the taxi rate. $3.50 for 66 meters and .10 after that. I seriously don't know how those damn meters work.

My taxi cost was covered for me but...gosh I couldn't believe the price of the taxi fare. As I was riding in the taxi my eyes were fixed on the meter. It started at $ 3.50 then rose to $ 4.00 as the taxi pass College Drive, thinking to myself, 'not bad.'

As we arrived at our second destination the taxi pulled to a stop in front of an apartment. As I waited for person #2 to come down from her home. I noticed the meter was now $ 10.00, and then it rose to 10.10, 10.20, ...14.10. It rose $4.00 more even though the taxi was in park. I didn't know those counted too. Imagine if there was a traffic jam and I was stuck for hours, how much would the fare be then? Realistically I live in Saskatoon and there is no such thing as an hour traffic jam, yet.

By the time we got to our destination (which happens to be the wrong place anyways) the fare came up to about $ 20.00 something. Gosh how can anyone afford to ride a taxi?

Mino My Child, Shings My Love.

It's tough being a mom. It's even harder to be a wife. You know the one that cooks and clean. It's only tough because I have never been one before. I was a daughter and a girlfriend and was used to getting my ways. I was spoiled. I've hardly cook, clean, or do chores.

Now, I have a daughter whom I am slowly falling inlove with each and everyday. I'm not use to this kind of love before. All the things I did not understand about my mother when I was a child, I am now slowly understanding and accepting it. Although I do not show it. Afterall I am a stubborn child/mother. Today I was singing 'Minori had a little lamb' in my native tongue. It was cute I guess. She seems to like it. Gosh, just thinking about her makes me smile. But at times she is a handful and do I ever want to strangle the air. Hmmm...Mino my child

Shings, Shings, Shings. Today I've tried to make teriyaki beef over rice. It was a disaster, too much sauce. I'm like probably the worst wife ever. I'm starting to lose a little faith in cooking. It's slowly eating away at my heart. Cooking upset me. I will not give up though, I promise I won't be a slave to the fast food chain. It won't get me this time.

I hate to mention it but Shings is a better cook then me. I'll leave it as that. Hmmm...Shings my love.

Halloween

I am anticipating, waiting for the golden sun to set. Waiting for the night to come alive. Waiting for the little goblins, creatures, superheros, and little darlings to come along. It's 4:30pm and yet no one or thing is to be seen. Where can they be?

This is my first Halloween with my new family. Hopefully giving cheesy Doritos chips would prevent my house from being egged. Who ever came up with that idea anyways? I for sure never ever egged anyone house before. But they say " never say never." Hehe

I think I might take a nap. zzzz
